ABOUT KAYSER STUDIOS
I’m Alissa Kayser – designer and founder of Kayser Studios.
Before starting the brand in 2024, I worked in costume design on film projects like The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (Lionsgate), 1899 (Netflix), Mother Mary (A24), Euphoria (Julian Rosefeldt), and more.
These experiences taught me to design with personality in mind – to step into someone else’s world and understand how they want to feel in their clothes. That instinct shapes everything I create today.
As a woman designing menswear, I find it exciting to step outside my own perspective. There’s a kind of clarity in observing from the outside – translating structure, movement, and identity into pieces that feel personal rather than generic.
Kayser Studios is based in Berlin. I design and sew every piece myself, working with deadstock fabrics and keeping production intentionally small.
For me, sustainability isn’t a concept – it’s simply how things are done.
Kayser Studios is about balance: softness and structure, restraint and detail, awareness and edge.
